About the instructor:
Stephanie Chang (she/they) is a Brooklyn-based poet, author, and art historian. A 2025 Lambda Fellow in Young Adult Fiction under New York Times–bestselling author Aiden Thomas, her work appears or is forthcoming in The Rumpus, Kenyon Review, Penn Review, Hobart, Peach Mag, Tinderbox Poetry Journal, Waxwing, and Sixth Finch, among others.
In 2021, she won the Adroit Prize for Poetry, judged by Carl Phillips. Her writing has been recognized by the Poetry Society, Academy of American Poets, Anthony Quinn Foundation, and San Jose State University. Her third chapbook is forthcoming in 2026 from Palette Poetry.
She has presented at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Met Cloisters, The Gund, Johns Hopkins University, SUNY New Paltz, the Northeast Modern Language Association (NeMLA), and other institutions across North America.
As a creative writing instructor, she has taught at the Adroit Summer Mentorship Program, Young Writers Initiative, Ellipsis Writing, and Sine Theta Magazine’s workshops.
